Welcome to The Neighborhood School
Founded in September 1991, The Neighborhood School serves families from 3K through 5th grade in the heart of the East Village. Our 11 multi-age classrooms foster a love of learning through project-based, inquiry-driven education.
We are a full-inclusion school with a deep commitment to anti-bias, anti-racist education, social justice, and social-emotional learning. Our community of families, teachers, and staff work together to create a nurturing environment where every child belongs.
